Mower Conditioners
All John Deere Mower-Conditioners feature a unique low profile cutterbar
design providing excellent cutting and conditioning performance, and
reduced maintenance requirements. Using a rotary disk design operators
can cut at high ground speeds, through tough tangled crops and still
achieve a clean cut. Furthermore the proven John Deere conditioning
systems promote high quality forage and achieve faster dry down.

Front Mounted Mower Conditioners
Front-Mounted Mower Conditioners are the perfect machines to cut in
small spaces or odd shaped fields. Their excellent manoeuvrability
makes them easy to operate and their front mounted design eliminates the
need to drive over standing crop - even at the beginning of fields.
The trapezium suspension allows the mower conditioner to float
over uneven ground contours. Suspension springs on the 228A maintain
constant down pressure on the cutting bed. Should you hit an obstacle
the model pivots, lifting the cutterbar over the obstruction and returns
it to the previous cutting height.
The 131 front-mounted model features hydropneumatic suspension for
even more responsive and reliable flotation. The machine automatically
lifts up to follow contours or compensate for soft ground, letting you
work at faster field speeds with confidence. The 131 lets you cut
3.1m - but the shields fold in to allow a transport width less than 3m.
Add a 131 or 228A front-mounted to your rear-mounted or trailed MoCo, and double your productivity.

Rear Mounted Mower Conditioners
Designed for individual farmers, the John Deere rear-mounted MoCos are
easy to adjust and use. The 324A, 328A and 331 have a cutting width of
2.4m, 2.8m and 3.1m respectively. In addition to providing fluffy
windrows, John Deere conditioners provide optimal drying speed for an
excellent quality crop.
All machines feature a low-profile cutterbar, "V" shaped free
swinging steel tynes and conditioning impeller. A twin-cylinder
hydraulic design harnesses this extra width, offering easier transport
and improved headland turns.
A wide-spreading kit is available to spread crop to the left-hand
side. The mower conditioner frame folds back horizontally behind the
tractor and locks into place for transport less than 2.5m wide on all
models. Once in transport mode, the cutterbar and conditioner
automatically lock into place.
Hydraulic controls let you pull into a field, drop the mower
conditioner into cutting position, and start cutting — all without
leaving the cab.
Twin Rear-Mounted Mower Conditioners
The 381, 388 and 488 models feature two rear mounted mower conditioners
fitted on one rear frame, in combination with a 131 front mounted mower.
The 381 gives you an overall cutting width of 8.1 m, while the 388 and
488 gives you an 8.8 m width.
For added productivity, take a look at the 488 mower conditioner.
This machine combines the innovative design of a 388 MoCo with a
grouper. And no field installation is required. Simply attach it and go.
Twin rear advantages:
-
Clean cut and mow full width with Parallel tracking or AutoTrac™.
-
Excellent flotation for high speeds.
-
High working speeds and capacity.
-
Easy road transport.
Hydraulic left and right swing of the rear mowers gives you better cutting efficiency in even the sharpest turns.
A breakaway system protects the mower conditioners from wear and damage caused by obstacles in the field.
A vertical folding system folds up the mower's "wings" for easy
transport. The overall width of the mower conditioner is less than 3m
for easy transport on public roads.
Side-Pull Mower Conditioners
The 500 and 600 series Rotary Disk Mower Conditioners are designed to
cut and condition hay in tough field conditions such as wet, tangled hay
and fields with ant hills. The Rotary Disk Mower Conditioners have
several advantages over sickle bar machines, including reduced chance of
plugging in tough cutting conditions, reduced daily maintenance
requirements, along with increased operating speeds. The 500 and 600
series feature the proven modular cutterbar made of high strength
nodular-iron for extra strength and outstanding cutting quality.
The suspension is an advanced design, allowing high working speeds
while maintaining an excellent cut quality. Long adjustable springs
ensure a constant ground pressure and also fast and soft return to
position in case of striking an obstacle. The wide and large tyres
reduce soil compacting for less stubble damage and faster grass
re-growth. In addition, a wide range of options and attachments are
available to fulfil the most specific needs: windrow grouper, wide
spread kit and the John Deere exclusive hydraulic tilt angle adjustment.
For years, top growers have depended on John Deere 1365 and 1465
mower conditioners to lay down perfect windrows for baling and chopping.
An electric cylinder lets you switch from one side to the other from
the cab to lay two windrows within 3.2m ideal for the John Deere 640C
pickup on your forage harvester.
You can also choose to spread the crop with the optional
swathboard which spreads the crop on the machine conditioner width. The
highly efficient swivel hitch offers a very short turning angle and
horizontal oscillation, providing the best manoeuvrability.
Centre-Pivot Mower Conditioners
Push your operation's productivity forward with the 700, 800 and 900
Series Mower Conditioners. The centre-pivot design allows you to mow on
either the right or left hand side, making back and forth mowing easy.
You’ll be able to start on one side of the field and go progressively to
the other, without having to divide it into smaller pieces. And, your
double windrows will always be parallel, making pickup even easier.
-
Quick and easy back and forth mowing
-
Consistently parallel double windrows for better pickup
-
Low maintenance costs with John Deere cutterbar
-
Flat cutting angle for low cut
-
High performance suspension for faster mowing speeds
John Deere Centre Pivot Mower Conditioners are designed to cut thousands of hectares at maximum speed, with minimum wear.
